About Us

The City of Evanston operates under a Council-Manager form of government. In this system, elected officials (the Mayor and nine Ward Aldermen) set policy and provide political leadership, while a professionally appointed City Manager handles day-to-day administration, staff oversight, and budget implementation. Administrative municipal services operate out of the Lorraine H. Morton City Hall at 909 Davis St. Free parking for City Hall is available at the Maple Street Parking Garage for visitors and employees. Validation is available at the security desk on the 2nd floor.
