The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market Returns on May 2

The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market returns for its 51st season on Saturday, May 2, welcoming the community to shop local and eat fresh.

Named "Best Farmers Market - Suburbs" by Better Chicago, the Market will take place every Saturday, May 2 through November 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue, behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Seniors and shoppers with disabilities are invited to shop early, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

This season promises to have the most variety yet, offering a vibrant selection of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, prepared foods, and more. Visitors are encouraged to come hungry, as there will be plenty to eat on-site, including hot and prepared food vendors offering a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan items.

  • 14 new vendors including: Aficionadough, An Choi, Chicky’s Kitchen Creations, Daisies, Frogtown Juices, Greco Greens, Local Leaf Farm, Onigiri Kororin, RSVP Gardens, Red Bean & Cocoa, Sera Dining, Smokin’ Sully's, Sweet Comfort Creations, & Yallatizers.

LINK card processing will be available at the City's tent from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Spud Club Returns

Parents and guardians can get their children involved in fun, informative activities through the Farmers' Market's free Spud Club program. Children of any age can participate in weekly activities and have a chance to win prizes!

Support Local Art

The Home Grown Artists showcase for Evanston artists and their work will be featured throughout the entire season. Interested artists should apply online.

Parking

Free parking is available in the 1800 Maple Self Park Garage with validation at the City's tent. Accessible parking spots have moved! They are now located along University Place off of Maple Ave.

Please Note: Live animals and pets, other than trained service animals, are not allowed at the market.
