Celebrate National Night Out With A Block Party On August 4

Evanston community members are invited to celebrate National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, August 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Block Party outside of Evanston Police Department Headquarters, 1454 Elmwood Avenue. 

National Night Out is an annual nationwide community-building campaign that promotes public safety, community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie to help make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places.

Hosted by the Evanston Police Department, this free, family-friendly evening will feature food, music, kids' activities, games, NNO giveaways, and more. Community members are encouraged to join in to connect with neighbors and celebrate community partnerships.

As a symbol of unity, residents are also encouraged to turn on their porch lights that evening.
