MLK Jr. Day Holiday Service Changes

The City has announced changes in service delivery and facility schedules in recognition of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, January 19. A listing of events celebrating Dr. King in Evanston can be found on the City’s webpage.
Refuse Collection
No refuse or recycling collections will occur on Monday, January 19. If the holiday falls on or before your collection day, it is expected that services will be postponed by one day.Facilities
The Morton City Hall, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Noyes Cultural Arts Center, Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, Chandler-Newberger Center, Evanston Ecology Center, Levy Senior Center, Prieto Community Center, and Robert Crown Community Center will be closed on January 19.The Evanston Public Library Main Branch will remain open. However, the Robert Crown Library Branch will be closed on January 19.
311 Center
The City's 311 Service Center will be open for normal hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., on January 19.
Parking
Parking meters, pay stations, and downtown parking garages will be free on January 19.
