Help Name the City’s New Bike Lane Sweeper

The City is inviting the community to join in a fun and creative opportunity to help name its newest bike lane sweeper.

Community members of all ages are invited to put their creativity to work and submit imaginative, family-friendly name ideas for the newest addition to the City’s fleet. Submissions that capture the unique spirit and character of Evanston are encouraged. The new bike lane sweeper, designed to keep bike lanes and neighborhoods clean and welcoming, will begin rolling through the streets this April.

All name submissions will be reviewed by a City panel, and the top ten names will be released to the public for voting. Entries that are inappropriate or offensive will be disqualified to ensure the final selection reflects community values.

How to Participate

Community members can submit name ideas online through March 4.  

Timeline

• February 25 - March 4: Name submission period
• March 5 - March 12: Public voting period to select a favorite name
• March 12: Winning name announced 

This community engagement initiative offers a chance for community members to play a small but meaningful role in celebrating the work that keeps our bike lanes clean and accessible.
