Noyes Cultural Arts Center HVAC Feasibility Study
Project Name:
Noyes Cultural Arts Center HVAC Feasibility Study
Project Summary:
The Noyes Cultural Arts Center is an historically significant building originally built by the local public school district as the Noyes Elementary School in 1892. The building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems have not had a major renovation since 1976 and are in need of modernization. Additionally, the City of Evanston has embarked on goals set out in the Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP) which require replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems. The City hired a team of experts, lead by Salas O'Brien, to investigate the feasibility of modernizing these building systems. Additionally, the team will provide recommendations for the new system and how to meet the goals set by CARP while limiting the impact to the historical integrity of the building.
