Bicycle Registration

The Department offers free bicycle registration for Evanston residents. Bicycle registration ensures your contact information and bicycle identifiers are entered into a database system so that you can be contacted if it is recovered.

The process to register your bike is easy, but first, you need to gather the following unique identifiers from your bicycle:

  • Bicycle Serial Number
  • Bicycle Manufacturer Name
  • Bicycle Model Name
  • Bicycle Frame Color
  • Bicycle Frame Size
  • Bicycle Wheel Size

Step #1 - Contact Us

Bicycle owners can submit an online service request or contact the City for bike registration services:

Step #2 - Processing and Mailing

After contacting us, your Bicycle Registration will be processed. Be sure that you have provided an accurate spelling of your full name and mailing address. Your Bicycle Registration will be mailed to the address provided within 7-10 business days.

Step #3 - Place the Sticker on your Bicycle

Place the sticker on your bike in a visible area.
