Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS)

The Evanston Police Department offers the Desk Officer Reporting System, also known as DORS, which allows community members to report certain non-emergency incidents online.

Community members can use DORS 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to report:

• Accidental damage to property
• Vehicle burglary
• Criminal damage to private property
• Lost driver’s license
• Lost property
• Telephone harassment
• Theft

DORS helps the department manage non-emergency reports more efficiently. It also helps officers stay available for emergencies and high-priority calls.

DORS does not replace 9-1-1. Call 9-1-1 for crimes in progress, emergencies, or situations involving immediate danger.

All online reports will be reviewed by a police supervisor. A supervisor or officer will follow up when needed.
