Public Ice Skating Information
Public Skate Schedule:
Admissions
General Admissions
- Tickets can be purchased up to seven days in advance Public Skating Tickets or by calling 847-448-8258.
- Pre-purchasing will end two hours before each skating session.
- Any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the Robert Crown Community Center 30 minutes before a session starts. This includes check in for those that purchased tickets online.
- Tickets are not refundable but can be transferable linked to a City of Evanston household account.
Admission for DJ Skate Nights
- Tickets can be purchased in person only on a first come first serve basis.
- Tickets will be sold 30 minutes before a public skating session starts.
- Yearly passes cannot be used during special skates including DJ skate nights.

Admission Fees & Skate Rentals

- Annual passes are also available for $110 and are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
- Passes cannot be used during any special skating sessions including DJ skate nights.
- Annual passes are sold at the front desk.
Skate Rental
No skates? No problem! Figure skates and hockey skates are available to rent: $4 per pair
- Figure skates are available in size Child 8 through Adult 14
- Hockey skates are available in size Child 8 through Adult 16
Rink Rules
Safety
- Dress warmly. Long sleeves, pants and gloves are encouraged. Rink temperature averages around 60 degrees.
- Skaters are not allowed to carry children or secondary items, such as cell phones, cameras, or handbags while skating.
- Patrons may not sit on, lean over, or leave articles on the dasher boards.
- No figure skating jumps are permitted during public skate.
- Figure skating edges, turns and upright spins are permitted only in the center area designated with cones.
Admission
- All skaters must pay the public skating fee or present their annual pass for entry.
- Annual pass holders and those not renting skates must have a wristband to enter the ice. Wristbands are provided at check-in.
- Please leave the ice promptly when the session has concluded.
Activities
- Patrons must wear skates on the ice.
- No stick or puck play is allowed.
- Roughness, excessive speeding, weaving through skaters, horseplay, tag or chasing is not allowed.
- Figure skating (jumps, spins) are not allowed during public skate sessions.
- No private lessons allowed during any public skating sessions unless you are a Robert Crown Staff Coach. Any lessons given by a staff must be done in the middle of coned area. No Exceptions.
- Food and beverages are not permitted on the ice at any time.
- Skates are not allowed in the bleacher area.
- No more than two people can skate together.
- During resurfacing, all doors must remain closed and no one is permitted on the ice.
